Students will be able to synthesize a variety of organic compounds by
applying the information on organic chemistry. They will learn about
Wilkinson’s catalyst, Merwein Pondorf Verley reduction, Wolf-Kishner reduction,
pyridinium chloro chromates (PCC) oxidations, Baeyer–Villigar oxidation.
They will also learn about rearrangements like,
Meerwein, Pinacol-pinacolone, Tiffeneau-Demjanov, Dienone phenol, Fries.
Students will learn the about photochemistry and pericyclic reactions. Through
presentations throughout the curriculum, the students develop their soft skills
