The course “Chemistry of Advanced Materials” will deal with the study of synthesis, structure, properties, and application of various functional materials. Our technology-driven world is fueled by advances in materials chemistry with examples of application in areas such as microelectronics, energy technology, drug design etc. This course will explain the application of materials chemistry through the materials properties and characterization, detailing how the crystalline and molecular structure of materials can be related to electronic, optical, thermal, mechanical and pharmaceutical properties.
