This
subject deals primarily with the basic principles to understand the structure
and reactivity of organic molecules. The course also provides an introduction
to the stereochemistry of aliphatic hydrocarbons (cyclic and acyclic) and their
stereochemistry. Emphasis is on substitution, elimination and addition
reactions and mechanisms.
