COURSE OUTCOMES:

On completion of this module, students will be able:

Ø  To demonstrate a good understanding of a range of India texts and the work of at least 10 Indian writers.

Ø  To produce a detailed and sustained analysis of the work of one contemporary writer.

Ø  To recognize the significance of the cultural, religious, social and historical contexts in which the texts are produced.

Ø  To identify and use a number of theoretical models that have been applied to the Indian texts.

Ø  To use, with understanding, an appropriate scholarly discourse.

Ø  To demonstrate an increased precision and thoroughness in written and oral communication through course work assignments and oral presentation.
