A contract is a legally binding agreement between two or more parties. It sets out the terms and
conditions of the relationship between the parties and defines their rights and responsibilities.
Contracts can be written or oral, but written contracts are generally preferred as they provide a
clear record of the agreement. Generally law of contract divided into 2 parts. First part deals with
general contract (Sec.1-75) and Second Part deals with Special Contract (Indemnity, Guarantee,
Bailment, Pledge, Agency). This course deals with Special Contract which will give a clear idea
about Indemnity, Guarantee, Bailment, Pledge, and Agency. This course also provides a idea on
Sale of Good Act, 1930 (Previously it was a part of Law of Contract) and Indian Partnership Act,
1932.
