This introductory course on Fluid Mechanics covers the basic principles of fluid mechanics and equations of conservation of mass, momentum, and energy in the context of numerous and diverse real-world engineering problems. The closed conduit of flow and measurement of flow. Fluid Mechanics is considered one of the basic subjects for mechanical & civil engineering students as it develops the thinking and imaginative capacity of the students. An engineer who successfully copes with new problems in the field must have a sound understanding of fundamental principles. The present course is designed to prepare the students in this direction. The contents of the syllabus have been developed keeping in this mind so that the students are exposed to a variety of situations that will test their understanding of the subject both at the concepts and analytical skills. In view of this, Fluid Mechanics is introduced in the second year. This course covers the basic principles and equations of conservation of mass, momentum, and energy in the context of numerous and diverse real-world engineering problems.
